Post-Laser Care
Post-procedure care:
1. Moisturize frequently: Vaseline, aquaphor or vaniply
2. Avoid harsh soaps, brushes, peels, masks etc.

3. Once a day starting 24 hours after the procedure: start vinegar soaks. This entails the following steps. Boil water in a medium pot and add one cup of vinegar. After 2 min boil, cool down. Use sterile/clean gauze and soak in the pot, then apply to face. Leave on for 2 min then apply moisturizer per #1 above.
4. It is normal for the skin to scab over. Don’t pick and apply moisturizer.
5. Some swelling is expect. However if you have a lot of swelling please call us.
6. Take Tylenol for any pain. If worsening in any way please let us know.
7. Some patients benefit from Benadryl and Ibuprofen for the first 24-48 hours. It is acceptable to use these over-the-counter medications.
8. Use ice packs as needed for pain is acceptable with 6 and 7 above.
9. The first night try to sleep with your head elevated on several pillows to minimize swelling. Protect your linens with a towel over your pillow.

10. It will be difficult to apply sunblock until the skin re-formed. Strict sun protection with hats and staying indoors recommended.
11. Take any prescriptions if given.
The healing process will take over two weeks but progressively getting better. Call us if you have any questions or concerns.
